Matariki

Today and over the week we have been learning 
about matariki 

We learnt about the seven sisters the saburu and what they mean. The saburu is seven stars of matariki and its a type of car. Matrix is basically the oldest out of them all so its like she is the mum and then their is the twins waiti and waita. 

Mainstars - Home work and Team time

For 1 of our main stars it is to do our home work if we do it we get to go on team time.

Home work
I think we could improve on homework by maybe printing it some days if you don't wan't to go on the computer or if you wan't to improve in your hand writing or so you can do it on the way to sport.

What is team time 
Team time is when you have done your home work and you get free time all AFTERNOON the whole syndicate has a shared lunch which means that we all bring in healthy and sweet food and we get to eat it.

Why I like team time
I like team time because you get to eat really yummy food and get to do fun activities like arts and crafts movie skates play's and a lot more.

Lillie's Netball diary


I play for Star united Future ferns in our team we have 2 other teams called Blue team and Gold team. We have year 4's year 5's and year 6's spread out into the 2 teams. Training times and where. We do our training all together both teams we work on our pivoting our passes (chest passes bounce passes and lobs) We do it in our school grounds on the netball court. We play in all positions and all get turns a shooting goals.

My ability's
Good at defending (Guarding the opposition keeping the ball of them)
Good at intercepting (Hitting the ball of the other team)
Good at shooting goals USUALLY.

Our team hasn't been moved up so we play all the young teams on their first year its a bit sad because they don't know any of the rules and they don't know how to to play. We win all the games against the little kids that are juniors I WISH I GOT MOVED UP. But this is my 3rd year playing netball all the other years our teams lost.

Mainstars - Random act of kindness

For my random act of kindness I did it for Miss Costello I write what it was for and I gave it to the principle it got read out at assembly and she got a cupcake with it.

Mainstars - ANZAC topic

This is my ANZAC poem I write at home and I used it for my main stars.

In world war 1 the fight has begun

For who that can leave their lives

Their great big heart they had from the start

Guns and shells are shooting while people are falling

We all say thanks to the men and women that risked their lives for ours.

I also made a google presentation with my friend Shialla and its about ANZAC biscuits.
